The textured bumpy surface gives bees and other garden insects a safe place to land and drink without slipping or drowning, and the central ring holds any standard water bottle upside down so water releases slowly and naturally as it’s needed.
Simply place your water bottle upside down, pop it outside near your flowers, and watch the bees do the rest! As you can see from our own photos — the bees absolutely love it. 🌸
How It Works
- Fill a standard 500ml water bottle with fresh water
- Place the bee waterer on a flat surface in your garden — near flowers or a sunny spot works best
- Turn the bottle upside down and slot the neck into the central ring of the waterer
- Water slowly releases onto the textured surface as bees drink — refill when needed!
The water bottle is not included — any standard 500ml bottle fits perfectly.
Why Bees Need Water
Bees use water to regulate the temperature of their hive, dilute honey and simply stay hydrated — especially during hot summer days. The problem is that bees often struggle to drink safely from open water sources like ponds and birdbaths because they can slip and drown. Our bee waterer’s raised bumpy surface gives them dozens of safe little landing spots to drink from comfortably. It’s a small thing that makes a huge difference to your local bee population! 🌻
